About
I’m a published playwright, screenwriter and songwriter. I grew up by the the North Sea in Suffolk. My writing is always rooted to a strong sense of place. I’m drawn to characters living on the edges, the outskirts. I write scripts that are often poignant, sometimes profound and mostly funny.
I’ve written as part of Soho Theatre’s Young Company, Channel 4’s 4Screenwriting, the BBC TV Drama Programme and was featured on the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist. My script Leafy received five nominations for The Brit List. My plays are published by Bloomsbury.
I’m in the band TRILLS, winners of a Music and Sound Award for Best Original Composition for our song on the Suffragette film trailer. Our songs have featured on various TV shows and trailers including: Outlander, Dune, The Morning Show and Mare of Easttown. We were nominated for a Golden Trailer Award for Netflix’s Wormwood. We have written original songs for my plays Songlines and A Tryal of Witches.
My play A Tryal of Witches opened at Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, Spring 2025.
“An enthralling memorial to Suffolk’s persecuted women.”
